Grid Locked-Part 1 Catherine Genevieve

August 10, 2012

I am a fan of “grid” photo sets. Usually it is a group of shots all with a very similar look, wether it be a background,a look of the person or a article of clothing. And all the photos of such a setting are usually lind up together as a group showcasing the indifferences there might be with each shot but at the same time making them look the same. I find it unique in way to show have similar yet opposite subjects can appear in these type of sets all with the connecting piece to draw them together.

A few months ago I got this cool  starter jacket that seemed like a bit of a throwback to the late 80′s early 90′s vibe. From the material to the coloring it was spot on. Over the time I shot 3 different girls in it, not cause I wasn’t happy with how one set of photos turned out against the other but rather to see how 3 different girls would approach to modeling this jacket. Plus I had never really done a grid per say so figured this was a good opportunity to do so.

So over the next few days I am going to showcase 5 photos from each model, when all is said and down and you scroll down my site it will be a grid. Figured I would start off with Catherine Genevieve…. Happy Friday everyone!
