For the next set we moved indoors since the sun had set. But I was fortunate that the location I was in had a good amount of existing light inside from the over heads. Claudia had this black laced one piece she wanted to shoot in and given all the white walls in this place I knew it would make for a awesome black and white set. So she changed outfits and I changed lenses and away we went.

Last weekend was a fun celebration of skateboarding, photography, art, friends and 15 years of Mark Gonzales and Adidas sustaining a amazing relationship. It doesn’t feel that long ago that I remember seeing Gonz rocking Adidas as a official foot sponsor before Nike SB came on the scene. This was a night to remind us of all the moments that have happened in this time span. The gallery hosted images from various photographers such as Brian Gaberman and Skin Phillips to name a few but also had a star studded group of attendees in the name of skateboarding from Matt Hensley to Alphonso Rawls to Eric Koston as well as the man himself Mark Gonzales. So I did what I think I do best…I rolled through and shot some photos to capture the evenings events and simply appreciate Mark Gonzales and skateboarding. Thank you Adidas for putting on this event to remind everyone how awesome this has all been and thank you Mickey Reyes for getting me in.

Keeping things moving in showcasing some more photos from my trip to Miami for Primitive Apparel I bring you Claudia Sampedro. If there was one word to define Claudia when I saw her it would be woman. Just how she carried herself, her confidence and her body all said just that. We had a location with a rooftop for her shoot so thought for this set it would be fun to go up and see what we could get. I did a couple of shots using the natural light and was pleased how they were coming out but I threw on a flash since I wanted to try and capture some texture of the clouds. But I must say it was a little tough trying to capture this whole setting with her in a bikini… what can I say I am human. So check out this photo set below of Ms. Sampedro and stay tuned for more of her!

While out in Austin,TX a couple of months ago for SXSW I had to the opportunity to shoot with some local models and figured now would be a good time to post them up. First up was Jessica, through the magic that is instagram we had connected in regards to me being out there and looking for models to shoot. Upon meeting her I knew should would be fun to shoot, with a very beautiful face but contrasting hair cut and tattoos it was definitely a unique look. I remember just walking down the street with her people stopping to compliment her and take photos with her. It was pretty awesome, so with that we figured we should shoot the next day. She came over to the house I was staying in which served as my shooting location for the next few days. This first set up with her I thought was rather sexy, a cardigan over a black bra and panty set she didn’t need much more for me to say o.k. that is good lets shoot. So we shot and I am digging the results, see below for yourself.

I was at the final set of the night with Iesha and being the location didn’t have a ton of different backdrops to work with we opted to go back out to the balcony to try to utilize the other view in a brighter colored two piece bathing suit. And being that Iesha likes to smoke some herbal refreshments we figured that could also add to some of these shots so she lit up and I shot away and the results were of course amazing.

For this next set we decided to be a little wild and shoot in the hallway of this high rise condo complex we were in. Iesha threw on a body suit along with some high waisted shorts and some heels and we were good to go. The chosen interior had enough existing lighting that I opted to not bring the on camera flash but instead set out to achieve a more raw feel for this then a polished look. As I was shooting I was starting to see these images in b/w and when I got to processing they turned out better then I could have hoped for. So enjoy this next set and happy cinco de mayo everyone.
