Snap Shot :: Christina Set 2

October 25, 2013

For this last set with Christina we went with a classic look of a black one piece body suit and her bed as a back drop. My eyes instantly saw black and white as the out come of these pictures. I also loved how her bathroom had these panels that would open up allowing for a bit of a voyeuristic angle. But there was something about her look that I can’t put my finger on that added to this setting making the photos that much better. Well hope you all enjoy these shots and have a great weekend!

Snap Shot :: Christina Set 1

Shooting in N.Y.C. has a lot to it. Such a amazing landscape to work with,between the history and the culture you have one of the biggest melting pots on earth. You also have a some amazing man made structures that with the right access gives you a amazing view of a amazing city. I was excited to be able to combine that view along with the site of a beautiful model. Christina and I had spent the day shooting at her place in the financial district of the big apple. As I stood looking out below from her windows noticing all the people in suites moving frantically like a bunch of ants it gave me a humbling moment. While these guys were chasing money in a job that I am sure most of them are not truly happy with I was sitting high shooting photos of this beauty in some Jordans. I think this is a perfect time for a great quote from the cinema classic Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop to look around every once in awhile you could miss it”-Ferris

Snap Shot :: Michele Maturo

October 17, 2013

One thing I love about taking photos is being able to capture moments and then months/years later be able to bring myself back to that exact place in time. Todays photo set is with Michele Maturo and I remember how excited she was to shoot on this beach. She had mentioned she was eyeing it up for awhile but was waiting to go there with a photographer she trusted. I was a little nervous when she offered this concept up to me, putting a little pressure on myself to not let her down I was getting nervous but at the end of the day I said fuck it. It will be fun and I love shooting with her. She is pretty laid back as well which works great with my style of shooting. I think the results turned out good considering we had shot 3 sets this day and I don’t want them to go to waste so here I am sharing with all of you. Hope you enjoy!

For this final set of snap shots with Jordan she threw on this cool collar shirt that was sort of a pastel pink color. It looked pretty retro which I liked,especially on her. As with wardrobe for some sets during my shoots I don’t always need everything to match perfectly. I think it adds a bit more realism to the image making it look like it could be something the model might hang out around the house in. Which is what I set out to create here by having her throw on some black and white striped bottoms. So check out these shots of Jordan below and hope you all have a great weekend.

Snap Shot :: Jordan Knight

October 8, 2013

Something about girls with tattoos gets me. Well at least good tattoos. I know for some people they hate seeing a beautiful girl covered in ink but not me. I can appreciate it, such as I did when shooting with Jordan Knight. This young beauty from Atlanta who obviously has a thing for getting work done was in L.A. for a bit and I had the opportunity to link up with her and do my kind of work which is taking photos. I rented out a home in the hills off sunset for our day of photos which worked out very well. Rocking a black lacy one piece for this first set I felt fit her so well we had to start off in it. Don’t believe me? Well there is proof below so go take a look for yourself.
